Good progress continues to be made on the interior of our new Emergency Floor as the inside space becomes more defined. The areas that will soon become out initial assessment area, ambulance bay and resus bays are taking shape...
Paediatric Emergency Department Progress!
Hello Everyone! It’s finally 2017, and there are only a handful of weeks until phase 1 of the Emergency Floor will be handed over by the contractors and open to the public! In readiness for this, we will be bringing you bi-weekly updates focusing on different areas within the new build. This week we will be focusing on the new Paediatric Emergency Department. The two pictures below show the entrance to the Paediatric department both inside and out. This is located along Infirmary Way opposite the Jarvis building and next to the Victoria building. Work continues to build the external walkway (picture below left). Sound diffusing panels are now in place in the Paediatric Atrium (picture below right). Special frailty friendly rubber flooring has been laid in the new Paediatric Observation Ward (POW).
