Steels and planks to join the elements of the new building together have been going in this week, with concrete being poured in to secure everything in place. #NewEDLeics Did you know... 273 nappies are changed each day in our neonatal unit

It's so good to see progress being made every week on our new Emergency Floor... Did you know... Today marks the official opening of our Multi-Storey Car Park at the Royal Infirmary. The new car park means there are now 600 spaces in Havelock Street.

Onwards and upwards...

Excellent progress continues to be made on our Emergency Floor construction site... More steel is going up, and concrete going down, to form the shape of what will become the new adult A&E and children's A&E departments... Did you know... everyday, patients missing their appointments costs the Trust £19,680

Filing in the gap...

Yet more steel is now on site as the previously cleared construction site fills up with what will become our new Emergency Floor. The below elevation will become the entrance to the new Children's Emergency Department... The lifts and stairwells taking shape... Did you know... every day, we do over 750 x-rays.

Sun on the steels...

As the sun shines on other day on the construction site, it's clear that the build of our new emergency floor continues at pace. The lift shaft and staircase... Did you know... everyday, our volunteers will serve over 850 cups of tea
