Hello Everyone!  There are now only 25 days left until the new Emergency Department opens its doors to the public! All of the building work is now close to being complete, and contractors are due to officially leave the site on the 3 rd April. Hi Everyone, After three years in the making, we have now officially taken ownership of our new Emergency Department from Interserve Construction team. The Department is looking fantastic! Thank you to everyone who has been involved to date for all their hard work to get us to this point. Above: Our Chief Executive John Adler receiving the keys for the new building. As we move towards the opening on Wednesday 26 April, the construction team will be putting the finishing touches to the department, our IT team will ensure that all of the technology is working, whilst the ED team will start to familiarise themselves with the new space.  Colleagues from other parts of our organisation who provide direct patient care within ED will then be invited to look round the department with their teams.  Finally before the opening our cleaning crew will do a thorough clean and decontamination (deep clean) before the doors open to the first patients at 4am on Wednesday 26 April.
